We had a pretty good weekend with Nathan. His energy has remained pretty good through the first week of treatment which was good to see. He has had a little bit of nausea through this first week and other than that, there has been no adverse reactions which is great.
Saturday we did not do much. Carter had hockey in the afternoon and Shelley made us a really nice supper. Sunday was kind of like a day of rest as we hung out for most of the day and then Carter, Nathan and I went to a NHL old timer game with cousin Johnathan, Uncle Darrell and Grandpa John. The boys had a good time watching that version of hockey but it may have been because of all the snacks that we had. One funny part was in the 2nd intermission when they had figure skating for entertainment, both Carter and Nathan had this pained expression on their faces and said almost in unison "this is boring!"
Monday we are off to the Cancer Center for 9am. We will have to wait for the drugs to be prepared and then Nathan will get the Erwinia L-Asparaginase needles to his thighs. We then need to stay for observation for an hour or so and so we should be home by noon if all goes well.
