For having had treatment yesterday, Nathan had energy today. His first words this morning was "Mom, you need to get up so we can wrap Liam's birthday present" - at 7am. Nathan was invited to a birthday party for a friend from his class. Since counts were good yesterday and he was feeling good, Nathan was able to attend and he was excited. I was nervous leaving him for the 2 hours and made sure Liam's mom had our phone number in the event he needed me. But everything went well. He left asking Liam if he wanted to come for a play date some time so all was good.
Carter had his hockey wind up this afternoon at a school gym. They played floor hockey, had pizza and presentations and then played hockey again. Once Justin and I picked Nathan up, we were able to catch the presentations. So it was a busy afternoon.
Uncle Lyle and Auntie Wendy stopped in for a visit this evening so was nice to see them. Tomorrow will be a low key day. We are thankful to have had a good day together and that Nathan felt good enough to attend the events this afternoon. Every good day is a blessing.
